As God's written Word, the Bible is relevant to people of all times and backgrounds. However, Bible events took place in times very different from ours, and it is important to become familiar with the geographical contexts of that age.
For instance, in this full-color atlas there are maps with the current borders of the Old Palestine, Canaan's weather patterns, maps of Abraham's journey and other Old Testament develop- ments up to the Exile.
Other maps about the life and ministry of Jesus are also included, along with Paul's missionary trips, the seven churches of Revelation, and other significant New Testament events, as well as a comprehensive index that enables the reader to easily locate sites on different maps in the atlas.
